Información sobre el trámite de permiso de salida de menor para colombianos o extranjeros interesados residentes en Jamaica, Islas Caimán, Bahamas, Antigua y Barbuda, San Cristóbal y Nieves, Santa Lucia y Dominica:
Kingston. (dic 10/2024). El Consulado de Colombia en Kingston recuerda que conforme al Código de Infancia y Adolescencia (Ley 1098 de 2006), todo menor de edad de nacionalidad colombiana o menor de edad extranjero con residencia en Colombia debe contar con un permiso de salida del país, suscrito por el padre o madre que no viaje con él.
Este permiso es exigido por la autoridad de control migratorio (Migración Colombia) y debe ser tramitado de forma presencial ante el consulado colombiano más cercano o ante un notario local.
Los ciudadanos interesados en este trámite que no puedan desplazarse a Kingston deben tramitar este permiso ante un notario/juez de paz local y posteriormente apostillar la firma de esta autoridad para que el permiso sea valido y se pueda presentar ante Migración Colombia al momento de que el menor vaya a salir del país.
El padre o madre que autorizará la salida de su hijo/a, puede descargar el formato de permiso de salida elaborado por Migración Colombia AQUÍ, y luego llevarlo ante un notario/juez de paz local para realizar el reconocimiento de firma. El trámite se completa apostillando la firma del notario ante la autoridad correspondiente para que sea válido ante Migración Colombia (autoridad de control migratorio).

Requisitos para el trámite presencial en Kingston:
En caso de desplazarse a Kingston, recordamos que esta oficina consular atiende sin cita previa de lunes a viernes de 9 a.m. a 3 p.m.
Al acercarse al consulado, el padre o madre que autoriza la salida deberá:
1. Traer su cédula de ciudadanía (ciudadano colombiano) o pasaporte/documento nacional de identidad (ciudadano extranjero).
2. Traer copia del Registro Civil de Nacimiento Colombiano del menor de edad cuya salida de Colombia será autorizada. Indicar si el menor cuenta ya con tarjeta de identidad.
3. Informar el itinerario de viaje con fechas exactas o estimadas, indicando; de ser el caso, si el menor reside en el exterior o si viaja solo por turismo (regresando a Colombia).
4. Indicar el documento de identidad de la persona que viajará con el menor o si viajará recomendado con la aerolínea.

The Consulate of Colombia in Kingston reminds that, according to the Code of Childhood and Adolescence (Law 1098 of 2006), any minor of Colombian nationality or a foreign minor residing in Colombia must have a travel authorization signed by the parent not traveling with the minor.
This permit is required by the immigration control authority (Migración Colombia) and must be processed in person at the nearest Colombian consulate or before a local notary.
Interested individuals who cannot travel to Kingston must process this permit through a local notary/justice of the peace and subsequently have the signature of this authority apostilled to ensure the validity of the permit for its presentation to Migración Colombia when the minor leaves the country.
The parent authorizing the child's travel can download the authorization form provided by Migración Colombia HERE, then take it to a local notary/justice of the peace to authenticate the signature. The process is completed by having the notary's signature apostilled by the corresponding authority to validate it before Migración Colombia (immigration control authority).

If traveling to Kingston, please note that this consular office operates without prior appointments from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At the consulate, the parent authorizing the exit must:
1. Bring their citizenship ID (Colombian citizen) or passport/national identity document (foreign citizen).
2. Provide a copy of the Colombian Birth Certificate of the minor whose exit is being authorized. Indicate if the minor already has an identity card.
3. Provide the travel itinerary with exact or estimated dates, specifying whether the minor resides abroad or is traveling for tourism (returning to Colombia).
4. Indicate the identity document of the person traveling with the minor or if the minor will travel under the airline's supervision.
